Finland neither has oil nor natural gas or coal deposits of its own. One quarter of the power consumed in Finland is generated by nuclear power. The country has a total of four reactors, one at the Olkiluoto site with a capacity of 1,600 MW. At present, the fifth reactor is being built here, the third generation of nuclear power stations. Since the 1960s, a great number of nuclear plants of the first and second generations have been coated by Bernhard Goldkuhle GmbH & Co. KG. The decontamination coatings applied are essential components in the construction of nuclear power plants.
